A two-day camp hosted by Minnesota Twins scout Nick Venuto and Colorado Rockies scout Ed Santa. Venuto and Santa have over 60 years of professional baseball experience and will be joined by Ryan Bergert, a 6th-round pick of the San Diego Padres in 2021, as well as Chris Check, a former Cleveland Guardians associate scout and current Minnesota Twins associate scout, and other local professional players and scouts from the industry are set to join our staff.
Expected attire is baseball pants, baseball shirt, and tennis shoes. NO CLEATS.
December 27 Session: Pitching and Catching
- Pitching focus on throwing mechanics, pitching mechanics, and pitch grips.
- Catching focus on set up, blocking, and throwing. Catchers must bring own gear.
- Velocities will be taken off the mound and catchers throw to 2nd base.
- Grades 1-4 9am-12pm
- Grades 5-8 1pm-4pm
December 28 Session: Fielding and Hitting
- Fielding focus on footwork, transfers, glovework, and arm angles.
- Hitting focus on setup, balance, bat speed, and approach. Hitters must bring bats and helmets.
- Each hitters exit velocity will be recorded.
- Grades 1-4 9am-12pm
- Grades 5-8 1pm-4pm
